Favorite Character

My favorite character was Chris Keller from "All My Sons." I felt like I had a good connection with the character and liked how he tied in with the story. This is also the first character I read that actually had a main plot within the play and I like having a lot of important roles and sayings in the play. I felt like I portrayed my character the best I could and I tried being in his shoes which is actually an enjoyable vantage point while reading the play. I loved the dialog that I had to read and it was overall an enjoyable experience and I hope I have more roles like Chris in a story.

Favorite Play

My favorite play so far was "All My Sons." I liked the story behind it and felt like it had a suspenseful tone to it and it always kept you second guessing yourself to who was actually innocent and who was guilty as charged. It also had a crazy ending that I never saw coming, It had an awful twist to almost seemingly suck the reader deep into the book and then cut them off with an agonizing end. I never saw Joe actually shooting himself at the end of the story but with all the events happening almost simultaneously I guess he felt overwhelmed and unloved so he solved it with his own answer.

Sometimes swallowing your pride is necessary for survival.

This picture represents Walter having to swallow his pride and move into the house even though he wanted to take Lindner's money and most likely go back to buying the liquor store. Bobo in a way also had to swallow his pride and tell Walter that Willy had taken the money and ran off even though he knew it would send Walter over the edge.

If you’re going to be successful, you have to take some big risks.

This picture shows how taking big risks doesn't always
pay off but if it does however go in your favor the profit can be huge. For an example Mama is making a big risk by putting a down payment on the new house in the all white neighborhood even though they know they don't want them there. Also Walter took a crazy risk in giving $6,500 to Willy and trusting him to get the liquor license, to which he just took the money and ran. That risk set the family back alot and made them all afraid of what was going to happen next but they made it through and are still moving into the new home.

You should hold onto your dreams; if you work hard enough for them, they will come true.

This picture represents how the Youngers had finally got a new house and were all satisfied that they have moved out of the dump they were in. The family had went through countless struggles with money and Ruth being pregnant everyone seemed to have given up on their dreams but once Walter had told Mr.Lindner they were moving into the neighborhood despite what everyone would say brought a better mood to them all.

I picked this picture to describe me because after I graduate I plan on joining the United States Marine Corps. It's always been my dream job since I was a little kid and was always playing Army with friends and cousins. It is a big choice to make but I think it will be the right choice for me. My family are hesitant at the idea of me going overseas but if I just keep reassuring them that I’ll be okay and hopefully they will support me fully in my decision.

Edward Jenner

Edward Jenner was a doctor who found out that pus from cow pox victims could be injected into patients and would make them immune to small pox, which was at that time the worst sickness you could get because there was no cure. Once the cure was found people then could buil up a immunity for the small pox and not be spread anymore.
